Green Party candidate for lieutenant governor in 2006.  In 2004 Provencher led the drive to get Nader on the Minnesota ballot.  In 2001 she organized the GPMN local in the third congressional district and in 2002 ran for Mound City Council, receiving 26 percent of the vote in a three-way race.  Active with the Green Party of Minnesota since 2000; she was a volunteer in the Nader/LaDuke campaign.  Provencher's activism goes back as far as the 1970s, when she helped with the Southern Landowners Alliance of Minnesota, a branch of the powerline protest movement.  She is a small business owner and single mother.

Sept. 4, 2008 - Super Rally at Orchestra Hall, 1111 Nicollet Mall, Minneapolis, MN.


Qualifying for the Ballot
To qualify to appear on Minnesota's ballot, state law requires submission of the signatures of 2,000 registered voters. The Nader/Gonzalez Campaign submitted around 4,000 signatures to the Secretary of State's office on Tues., Sept. 9, 2008.
