Notes
Michigan was one of the states in which the campaign hoped to do well.  At the bottom of its press releases the Nader campaign had a paragraph titled, "About the Nader/Gonzalez Campaign."  Starting on July 29, 2008 this paragraph included the language, "In the key swing state of Michigan -- whose voters were partially disenfranchised by the Democratic National Committee -- an EPIC-MRA poll found Nader at eight-percent."  By Aug. 1, 2008, possibly including the margin of error, this language had mutated to, "
In the key swing state of Michigan -- whose Democratic voters were partially disenfranchised by the Democratic National Committee -- an EPIC-MRA poll found Nader at 8-10 percent."  The language persisted on press releases until at least Oct. 9, 2008.  When the votes were counted Nader obtained less than one-percent of the vote in Michigan.
