In the first part of September
the campaign pulled significant
resources out of Georgia, but that was not the end of the campaign in
the state.

organizing and registering voters was a definite plus. Of course,
when OfA pulled staff out of Georgia, that was problematic, but what I
believe a lot of people miss is that when that happened, we had
literally thousands of trained volunteers to make up the staff
difference without missing a beat. In the end, this was the
largest, most complex, and most effective field effort ever seen in
Georgia... When you compare the Obama/McCain spread versus the
numbers from four years ago, you can see how far we've come."
