State Director Juan Sepúlveda
(announced and started July 28, 2008)  Taking leave from his position as president and founder of The Common Enterprise (TCE), whose mission is to help nonprofit groups, philanthropic organizations and businesses help build stronger communities.  Sepúlveda is a member of Obama's National Latino Leadership Council.  He served as a senior advisor for Bill Bradley's 2000 presidential campaign.  He also worked closely with Willie Velasquez, founder of the Southwest Voter Registration Education Project.   Law degree from Stanford Law School, 1993.  Rhodes scholar; degree in politics, philosophy and economics at The Queen's College, Oxford University.  B.A. in government from Harvard.  Grew up in Topeka, KS.  San Antonio resident.
 
Field Director Jonathon "J.D." Gins
Started as a volunteer for the campaign, then was a stipend worker and a full time staffer.  After graduating, Gins took up community organizing as a full time job, working with national organizations such as Clean Water Action.  Earned degrees in government and history from the University of Texas at Austin.  Grew up in Albuquerque, NM.
