(started Sept. 1, 2008)  Came to the campaign from position as executive director of the West Virginia Democratic Party.  Prior to starting at the party in 2005 Vogel was a math teacher and president of the WVEA.  Graduate of Concord College.

Has served on Sens. Byrd's and Rockefeller’s Senate staffs.  Worked on Sen. Byrd’s re-election campaign in 2006.  Research director on WV Democrats' 2004 Coordinated Campaign.  WVU graduate.

On leave from position as press secretary to Sen. Robert C. Byrd.  Deputy communications director to Sen. Russ Feingold (WI) 2006-07.  Graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, 2002.

Gregory Hoyer
Deputy political director for the Obama campaign during the West Virginia primary.  Government affairs specialist at the law firm of Lewis, Glasser, Casey, & Rollins.  In 2005, he served under the Clerk of the House of Delegates for the Seventy Seventh Legislature, and in 2003 he was a clerk for the West Virginia House of Delegates Judiciary Committee. Assistant director of Academic Solutions Inc. learning center in Marietta GA.  Graduate of the University of Charleston.

Jenilee Keefe
Regional field director in the Philadelphia suburbs on the Hillary Clinton for President campaign. Experience includes spokeswoman for the U.S. Senate Commerce Committee Democratic chairman, Daniel Inouye.  Nashua field coordinator on John Kerry's 2003-04 NH primary campaign.  2003 graduate of The George Washington University, with a degree in political communication.  She worked as a student assistant for the Eleanor Roosevelt and Human Rights Project at GW.  Keefe also interned on Kerry's 2002 Senate re-election campaign.

Allison McJunkin
Surrogate scheduler and Women for Obama coordinator for WV during the primary.  Prior to joining campaign, McJunkin worked in Chicago as an associate at Rusin Maciorowski & Friedman and at the civil justice law firm of Lehrer & Redleaf.  McJunkin also interned at the Chicago Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights and at the Children's Defense Fund in Washington, DC.  In 2004, McJunkin served as surrogate advance coordinator for the Kerry campaign in Wisconsin.  J.D. from Washington and Lee University School of Law in 2004; B.S. in human and organizational development from Vanderbilt University, 1999.

The organization in West Virginia was unlike others across the country, as it had fewer staffers and fewer offices than in most
states.  As a result paid and volunteer people in the field had to be very fluid and work in varied capacities.

Nick Casey
G. Nicholas Casey, Jr. is a principal in Lewis Glasser Casey & Rollins PLLC, a Charleston law firm.  Before becoming state chair he served as campaign treasurer for then Secretary of State Joe Manchin’s 2004 primary race for the gubernatorial nomination.  Casey earned his J.D. from West Virginia University College of Law in 1977 and his B.S. from the University of Kentucky in 1974.  Casey was born in Charleston, WV.
